Multi-Genre performing and recording musician, Brendon Davis has quickly become one of the young performers in great demand. Since his debut in 2011 at the Gospel Fest in Hart Plaza (Detroit), his artistry has taken him throughout the United States, winning competitions and even performances in venues such as the Kennedy Center, Chene Park, Corson Auditorium, Mandalay Bay Convention Center, Disneyland Park, Duke Energy Convention Center, Cobo Hall, Hart Plaza and the Kimmel Center.

In the summer of 2013 and 2014, he performed at the Millenium Stage at the Kennedy Center for the premiere of Endangered and orchestrated a song for the premiere of Ruka, written by Tony Small in partnership with the Kirov Academy of Ballet and the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Washington, D.C. debuting in the Terrace Theatre of the Kennedy Center.

He won the Teddy Harris award of the If Only For One Moment scholarship competition and was given a full scholarship for Interlochen Summer Arts Camp (2014) and (2016).

He placed nationally in the NAACP ACT-SO competitions winning Bronze Medals in Music Composition (2015) and Contemporary Instrumental Music (2016) while also being the assistant music director for the closing award ceremonies.

He has a full-tuition scholarship at the University of Michigan where he is pursuing a degree in Jazz Studies with a concentration in Piano and a minor in Performing Arts Management and Entrepreneurship studying with world-renowned pianists, Benny Green and Andy Milne.

In the summer of 2019, he was selected to be a part of the Disneyland All-American College Band in Anaheim, California doubling as pianist and toys/percussion player for sit-down and marching sets throughout the park. He performed with established artists including Gregg Fields (Quincy Jones, Herbie Hancock, Count Basie), Jiggs Whigham (Ella Fitzgerald, Cannonball Adderly) Wayne Bergeron (Incredibles, La La Land), Gordon Goodwin (Incredibles, Big Phat Band), Sal Lazano (Dancing with the Stars, John Legend, Stevie Wonder), and record at the legendary Capitol Records in Los Angeles.

He has performed at various churches in the Detroit area including Fellowship Chapel, Second Ebenezer, First Community Baptist Church, International Gospel Center, Third New Hope Baptist Church, Kensington Church (Troy), Greater Emmanuel Church, and New Jerusalem COGIC performing on both organ and piano.

Moreover, he has performed for a number of dignitaries including the swearing-in ceremony of congresswoman Brenda Lawrence, Southfield Mayor Ken Siver, State Representative Jewell Jones, Former House of Representative Rudy Hobbs, and a featured performance with the U.S. Navy jazz band of Washington, D.C.

He has collaborated with artists such as Wess Morgan, Malaya Watson (American Idol) (Interim M.D.), Gary Burton, Sean Dobbins, Bob Hurst (Chris Botti, Wynton Marsalis), Marion Hayden, Jade Simmons (Black Beethoven) De'Sean Jones, Jon Dixon, Demetrius Nabors KEM), Bill Moss, Jr., Randy Scott (Vickie Winans, Fred Hammond), Tim Bowman, and Brandon Waddles (Ledisi).

He has also been featured on Fox 2 News multiple times and has performed in venues in the Detroit area such as Cliff Bells, Aretha Franklin's Jazz Cafe, Bakers Keyboard Lounge.

As a leader, he has been a teaching assistant at the Art of the Duo (2017) workshop under Ellen Rowe and Interlochen under Andrew Bishop​ (2017-18). Recently, he was appointed as the new music director of the Michigan Gospel Chorale.

However, our mission is to bring the best talent to our community and you will see an optional cover line on the check. While it's not required, you're welcome to add the suggested amount per person to help us continue our mission of presenting amazing music five days a week on the Blue LLama stage.
