REDWOOD is a musician, producer, and songwriter born and raised in Washington D.C. The 22-year old graduate of Michigan State University’s Jazz Studies program blends the contemporary vibes of jazz, R&B, soul, and hip-hop with stunning individuality and sophistication. Having performed with jazz legends from Rodney Whitaker to Cory Henry, and popular R&B band The Internet, she has earned a growing reputation in her young career. In 2019 she performed as part of the Mid-Atlantic Jazz Orchestra, the Kennedy Center’s Betty Carter Jazz Ahead residency, and the JAS Aspen Snowmass Academy (directed by Christian McBride). Already a distinguished pianist/keyboardist, REDWOOD showcases her vocal and production abilities in her debut album, “Red 2 Go.” Other recent endeavours include performing alongside DeeDee Bridgewater at the Detroit Jazz Festival and touring with R&B star Miki Howard.

At the Blue LLama Jazz Club, REDWOOD will perform an eclectic mix of jazz and genre-bending contemporary music, including originals from her debut album as well as brand new compositions! She will be accompanied by other Michigan rising stars Brandon Rose on bass guitar, Caleb Robinson on drums, and Wyatt Forhan on keyboards.
